Mayor Sean McIntyre- Serving his second term as a municipal representative and his first as Mayor, Mayor McIntyre has called Sylvan Lake "home" for 24 years. Married for 10 years with two small children, Mayor McIntyre is most notable for his work with Sylvan Lake youth and local sporting & music festivals. Having travelled a lot prior to starting a family, Mayor McIntyre understands the value of community involvement, and now focuses his free time on raising his young family, volunteering locally, and offering his services as a public speaker.

Councillor Megan Chernoff- Councillor Chernoff is serving her first term on Council. After calling Sylvan Lake "home" for the past six years, Councillor Chernoff owes much of her interest in municipal governance to her father, who serves as a city Councillor in Castlegar, BC. In addition to serving on Council, Councillor Chernoff works in the marketing industry and volunteers regularly- for everything from Timbits soccer to town events and committees. Councillor Chernoff still appreciates some down time, and enjoys spending it with her two feline friends, Jose & Corona.

Councillor Christine Lust- Councillor Lust is serving her first term on Council, though her former and ongoing work has garnered her plenty of municipal governance experience. Having called Sylvan Lake "home" for the last 34 years, Councillor Lust currently works as a Divisional Strategist with the City of Red Deer's Community Services Directorate and volunteers for a number of community and Town committees including the Sylvan Lake Centennial Task Force.

Councillor Jas Payne- This is Councillor Payne's first term as an elected official. Married for nearly 20 years with three school-aged children, Councillor Payne and his family have called Sylvan Lake "home" for the last six years. Holding a Masters in Education with a specialty in Technology & Education, Councillor Payne currently teaches English Literature and acts as the high school Guidance Counsellor. Councillor Payne loves to golf and enjoys a good comic book read during his free time.
